Crawford ISD would like to welcome Britni Jenkins to our Pirate Staff! Mrs. Jenkins will be teaching 5th grade at Crawford Elementary. She graduated high school from Riesel and college from Tarleton. For the last several years, she has been at home with their three kids. Their oldest (Aj) will be a freshman, their middle (Jace) will be in 2nd, and Jemma is 4. They have lived in Crawford for almost 8 years. They love to do anything outside; hunt, fish, and ride horses!
Blast Off Information..
Crawford ISD would like to welcome Anna Criss as the new Director of Food Serivces! Her family is originally from Arizona. They moved to Texas in 2010. They have lived in Crawford for the last ten years. She has worked for Bosqueville ISD since 2011. Her and her husband, Josh, have 2 kids Joshua & Jordayn who both graduated from Crawford. She loves relaxing and hanging out with family & friends barbecuing, watching sports, going to TX Red Dirt concerts, traveling around Texas and to Arizona to see family. She is excited to be coming home and excited to be joining our Pirate family!
The USDA waiver that was helping the district provide free meals to students is no longer available. This means that the school district will start charging for meals based on student eligibility for meal benefits starting on the first day of the school year. See link for prices (they are the same as before the pandemic). Families who need assistance with paying for meals are encouraged to apply to the "Free and Reduced Lunch Application" that will be available closer to the start of school. Crawford ISD wants to welcome Pat Tusa to our Staff! He will be teaching 7th & 8th grade ELAR. He graduated from Richfield High School in Waco and then received his degree from Baylor University in 1979. He coached football for a brief time early in his career. The highlight of his coaching career was being a student coach at Baylor when they won the 1979 Peach Bowl against Clemson. Mr. Tusa worked in the Waco ISD since 2013. The last four years he was an English tutor at Waco High School. He enjoys reading, walking, and following sports. He has two older brothers who are his best friends. He is excited to be joining the Crawford ISD family!

MCC will be hosting Highlander Days for NEW dual credit students at MCC on August 11th and August 12th from 8:30a.m. – 11:45a.m.. The events will cover pertinent information about MCC and resources available to students. Attendance is completely voluntary. You will find registration links for the event dates below. Each day will have limited availability, so students will be accepted on a first come first serve basis.
